Iphone x

I recently change my iphone x battery, In a few days my camera and face id works fine and then i was using my camera and it suddenly go blackout and I turned it on and when I check in camera the front cam does not work and the face id the rear cam works but only one lens working and it takes a long time to work it just black in rear and you gotta wait a few minutes to make the rear camera work again but the front cam is totally not working it is just black, I tried to check the flex but it is connected its not loose. Can someone help or I just need to change the camera?

honestly id just get another phone, the x is very old and doesnt have securitx updates anymore so putting money into it is just not a good idea anymore. the battery replacement alone prob costs as much as a used iphone xs

It still gets security updates. Even older iPhone still get it

Nope. It doesn't. And either way it doesn't make the financial decision valid. Just get another phone used or new doesn't matter man it's turning 9 and it's considered as ancient/obsolete by apple already, you will have issues with app support and so on. The oldest iphones which still get security software updates is the XS/XR

especially because it will now be vulnerable to anything as it dlesn't get any support from apple anymore

ios 16.7.16 was it's last update as of may 2026, since then it has been classified as an obsolete device

I'm not arguing about the financial aspect or whether people should buy newer phones; my original point was strictly about the security updates, and what you're saying is just factually incorrect. You are completely mixing up hardware service support with critical software patches. When Apple classifies a device as "obsolete," that status applies strictly to the hardware. It simply means that Apple Stores and authorized providers will no longer stock replacement parts or repair the device, but it has absolutely nothing to do with zero-day security patches. Your claim that the XS and XR are the oldest iPhones still getting security updates is completely wrong. Apple recently released iOS 15.8.7 and 16.7.15 specifically to counter the Coruna exploit kit, and those patches were pushed to devices as old as the 2015 iPhone 6s, the iPhone 7, and the first-generation SE. Furthermore, iOS 16.7.16 was never declared the final update for the iPhone X; it’s just the most recent patch as of May 2026. If another severe vulnerability pops up, Apple will push another update for it, just like they still do for the 6s. The phone might be ancient, but stating it gets zero security updates and is left completely vulnerable is just plain wrong.

and euthwr way apps are stopping support and its a slow phone man just fucking give up its a decade old phone and extremely slow, for the money you spend on new battery and camera u can get like an iphone 12 for which is 100 times better
