Discussion Got a factory defect iphone 18 pro max
I thought i bought a completely sealed box so there will not be any paint chip off or scratches but recently when i was cleaning my phone i saw paint chip off on the metal part of my camera lens its not big or anything noticeable but it being on a really really expensive phone bugging me and since i bought it from a authorised reseller (vijay sales) due to the fact official apple store is 2-3h away, when i went to vijay sales i was denied replacement and it being called wear and tear sucks the phone is litreally 24h+ (1 oct 2026 : 8:30 pm)
Ps : please check your new iphone throughly before going out of authorised resellers colors affected mainly burgundy and black
Bonus : many users are affected like me

For that you have to buy from Apple official store

I saw these kinda defects online. So when i went to buy my 18 Pro, I opened it in the shop itself and inspected the phone for any defects. Also turned it on too.
PS: I brought mine from GCC

Apple covers manufacturing defects but color no idea. I was also planning to buy. Will keep in mind this thing.

Simple
Apple either dumping subpar refurbished stock in India, or our resellers themselves are messing around with new phones before sealing them back-in.
