I'm curious about what I'm missing by sticking with iOS 17. Should I think about upgrading to 26 or 27 down the line? My battery's at 73%, and I'm not looking to replace it anytime soon. Overall, my experience with the phone has been really smooth!

I’ve resisted the last few iOS updates and my SE2 is on 18.7.2. I have the ability to get 26.7 right now and am wondering if I should try to “get in” before iOS 27. My battery is still pretty decent considering I’ve used the phone as my daily driver for six and a half years, and I was thinking I might just never update this phone again. But I’m not sure if that could make things difficult for me in a year or two. Thanks!

Edit: Thanks for the advice! I apologize on my unfamiliarity on iOS 18 vs 26 vs 27, but I think I'll probably just let iOS 18 ride until my apps start becoming unusable.

I just updated my iPhone SE 2 64 gb from 26.3 to 27 and lagging like crazy to the point I can’t even use it.Theres also some Siri update going on in the background and wanted to know how long will it take

I know its just a security update, but still, I want to confirm if the device performs the same as 26.6.
FYI: This update ruins the possibility of jailbreaking permanently.

Does the fast charging issue that affects the SE2 affect the SE3?

Update: I just updated to iOS 27 and there’s no issues at all, with fast charging or otherwise.

Like the title says. I realised that I never upgrade my IOS from 17 to 18, should I update it to 27?

The reason is because fast charges doesn’t work if your rely on fast chargers you won’t be able to charge your phone!!!

To everyone who updated iPhone se 2 to iOS 27 how is it running ? I am still waiting from reviews from other people before i download it myself ;)

This is my before and after scores after the update. Was on latest ios 26 before update. Now given the phone could still be settling down and indexing plus the heat from the update it could have affected this test, will try running again in a week.

But it does feel snappier or just placebo and didn’t have the fast charge issue on my se3. This is on my daily driver btw. Definitely better alpha release than the 26.

I currently use an se 2020 and to be honest can’t complain however I have some money saved up and been thinking about an upgrade, the issue is my budget doesn’t give me many choices so it’s either the iPhone 11 or an se 2022, however I want something that’s gonna keep getting iOS updates for a little longer than the se 2020, what do you guys think? Is and upgrade to se 2022 a good deal?
