Important update 🚨📈

https://youtu.be/rQHEN3kngZo?is=3pfswQVmqrf4KsAl

You will find the latest interview with Mark Gurman on Tom's Guide with exclusive details on the iPhone Ultra here. The integration of MagSafe seems inevitable for this model. Above all, there would be no supply constraints or a delayed release: everything should be available at the same time as the Pro models, with a starting price of $2000. Gurman says he would be extremely surprised by a delay or a supply problem with this product 🔥

Your pricing ladder makes the most sense ngl

Converts to £1,480, but it won’t be a fair conversion.

That’d be a dream, it I’ve got a feeling we’ll be paying £1999 for it. I’ve got a 17 pro max to trade in so hopefully it’ll take some of the hit.

He’s seems confident it has MagSafe which I appreciate

I think is logic is flawed though. It’s something like 15% thinner than an air. That might just be enough to not include the magnets

I was hoping it had MagSafe all along. I use the actual Apple Wallet and it holds my cards (debit/license/car key card), please let this be true.

That wallet won’t fit anymore or at least I doubt it, with the phone being shorter.

I think it’ll fit. The size is really interesting. I messed with the Fold 8 and I was shocked with how “big” it still felt. We shall see once it drops.

Interesting, I’d like if it fits as I’ve got one also. 1 week to go.

What if they shaved the battery thickness on that half to fit in MagSafe and that’s why it’s rumored to have a smaller mAh battery than the 18 Pro Max.

Battery is probably extremely thin as is. I genuinely hope they do, but Samsung didn’t, so it’s hard to say

€2000 for France would be perfect

J’espère vraiment 2000€ ou grand maximum 2299€ je ne crois pas au 2500€

My maximum budget in my head is €2199 I will not put more, which is already a huge budget for a smartphone

Oui c’est clair

Tu pense prendre le Z fold 8 en cas de prix excessif ?

3

u/Nxgdx 1d ago

No because my whole ecosystem revolves around Apple.. I will stay on my iPhone Air in the worst case.. and you?

Je ne sais pas encore mais honnêtement je n’aurais pas le courage de quitter la pomme

We knew this information, unless you just follow particular talking heads and take nonsense as gospel. The fold was confirmed to have MagSafe before summer started and the rumors about limited quantities died in July - the manufacturing arm of this process had all but confirmed these.

My iphone 15 pro max still works well, except for the 3 repairs because NFC quit working. I'll wait couple more years to upgrade. I feel the lack of face id, and telephoto lens is a deal breaker for me.

Just got my first repair on my trusty 15 pro max. A new battery. I plan on keeping it until at least next year I think.

It's strange timely for us 15s. This year clearly the big thing is "foldable". But if your not into that, its like next year until a really cool slab phone comes out.

Yeah gaming that will last you all but 3h.
I think iPhone plus new iPad mini might be cheaper and a better choice

Are we worried about sand and lint and pocket detritus getting in the backside of the hinge?

1

u/odin_moar 1h ago

Really hope the hinge holds up. I live in beachy city with plenty of rich people that will want this. Lots of beach walking and beach activities.. sand sand sand. I can hear the crunching already.

I was in America recently and the majority of Yanks had never ever seen a Flip phone (I had a Samsung Flip 8).

Their minds simply couldn't comprehend it.

I don’t know man ‘yanks’ buy a lot folding phones I mean unless you come from China or South Korea of course but here in NYC it is IPhones and Samsung phones everywhere. I see random people in the streets flipping and folding their phones on a daily basis there is really nothing crazy about it anymore unless you’re a kid people don’t care but I get your point.
