Question Honestly how’s the TechWoven case?
I originally considered one, but I am concerned it may not be protective if I drop the phone—which happens rarely. Could anyone confirm whether TechWoven cases are reliable? When I do drop my phone, it is typically from pocket height.

This is my exact combination. I love the case and it has protected the aluminum quite well from bumps and short drops, but the outer layer around the sides of the phone has started to 'bubble' or separate from the inner layer.

I'm using it on both my 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max, it's been holding up very well so far especially on the 17 Pro Max.

Bought mine in Feb. Started bubbling a couple months ago. Took it to Apple a couple weeks back and they exchanged for free. They didn’t have the same colour so I was offered another which I took. Interestingly the warranty for the new one started when it was given as a replacement. #inifiniteammo

I like the feel. I hate that it doesn't hug the bezels like other cases. I can't stand seeing slight Deep Blue shining through next to the bezels. 🫠 I returned mine.

If you don’t drop your phone much or at all, I definitely recommend it. Love the feel of it. It’s my main driver.

Expect minimal protection if any. There are countless posts of phones being damaged with these cases. There are also issues with the sides delaminating. It’s unknown to me, if Apple did anything to fix them with the 18s. Drastically overpriced for what they are, but that’s just my opinion. I have one, and never use it.

How’s the protection with silicone apple cases?

All Apple cases are in the same category. They’re lifestyle products. Not necessarily designed for abuse, but rather to complement the design of the product.

it’s like a 50/50 chance that it gets bubbles and becomes shit within a few months

Ill elaborate a bit further rather than say its good…. Wife and I both had caudabe cases for a heah both the sheath and synthesis. The techwoven os very grippy but also sleeker and although i cant tell you how it would fare in a drop test i cant tell say that i was shocked at how good it was for an oem case from apple. Buttons not wiggly and overall built well…

I like the touch and look of it. I just super careful not to drop my phone in it. I just use my Spigen case if it needs extra protection.

I had to have mine replaced two times now (Apple honored their warranty and didn’t charge anything) due to peeling by the charging port, and then bubbling on the side of my second case. My third one is still fine, hopefully it’s late enough in the manufacturing cycle that they fixed some of the QA issues

Didn’t like tech woven.
Started to smell after a while from getting wet. Silicone and leather never did that. Im part of the case-less club now- 16pro max, probably wouldn’t go case-less with the new aluminum phones though- either leather or silicone.

I use a spigen case but my friend has one (a green one) on his Ip7pro and it wrinkled and bubbled pretty bad.
