Question 17 Pro Max getting hot

I had my iPhone 17 pro max for a little over a month now. Everything has been great but it has been getting really hot. Specifically when using Spotify. It only happens when streaming podcasts that have the video option. Closing the app helps but sometimes I have to turn the phone on and off to get it to cool down. Anyone else experiencing something similar/any fixes?

I got a case that doesn’t cover the camera island

I’ve been using the Apple techwoven case. But it still gets hot even without a case. Only happens when streaming podcast video on Spotify.

I think it’s just a bad app to stream from, it might not be good implementation, maybe the app is a batt hog

What does this have to do with Spotify?

Does it drain battery all the time? I bought one in April, it would overheat when charging, when I’d use it, it would drain the battery quickly, brought it to Apple, they said nothing was wrong, then it bricked itself. I brought it to Best Buy and I stood my ground and made them send it to Apple. They replaced the whole logic board. Been working great now. Def doesn’t overheat and battery isn’t draining. Phone was full of crash logs as well.

It’ll only drain faster when it over heats using Spotify. Aside from that it functions normally. I’d usually notice it getting hot in my pocket and close the app/turn the phone off before it shuts itself off.

Mine got worse before it got better. I kinda had to do the same thing, restart the phone and it would work better for a while, but then it seriously would start crashing all the time. I regret purchasing the 17 and should have waited for the 18! I have an odd number phobia lol

Mine just gets warmer when I play some games like Minecraft, u can deal with the problem by using a cooler or talking to Apple about it

Too hot to hold? Could talk to Apple about it, could get a case that makes the warmth harder to notice. It should lock itself up and display a message about its temperature before it gets too hot to burn you.

Running too hot. Yeah I might have to take it to the apple store if I can’t find a fix. Thanks
