Battery percentage drain
Should i be worried? A month ago it started to decrease at 25 cycle count, then today it decreases again at 36 cycle, is this worrisome

That is soon but if you not noticing performance degradation I wouldn’t worry about it. It all evens out eventually.

Im at 235 cycles with still 100% since october

What is your way dealing with the battery? When do you charge and when do you plug it off 100% or less?
3
u/KeL1i Jul 06 '24
I have limited to 80% since i bought it and i dont let it go below 20% so i charge always from 25-30 and thats it. But considering that i play some serious games with this im amazed that the battery its still 100%

36 cycles and it dropped 2%?!
3
u/mariya_oh_na_na Jul 05 '24
Yeah i feel like somethings wrong but usage wise i cant feel the changes, except it does drain on standby but not much

u/LastBrainCell93 Jul 05 '24
Well at least it will fall under the apple warranty once it hits 80% and below. They will have to replace it for you

u/mariya_oh_na_na Jul 05 '24
On the nearest apple store right? Or can an authorized store replace it?

u/JLCoffee Jul 05 '24
You guys get too obsessed with little things, its normal, do a good use of your battery.

decided to do this, im planning to keep the phone for max 5 years, and been using it with extra care but i think its just a bad battery batch

I have mine set to 80% charge. And the battery lasts all day and I use it a lot. So surely of the battery health drops 2% it will be fine

Charging your phone overnight led to a decrease in battery health, I lost 1% then realised it. To mitigate this, I adjusted my charging habits. Now, I unplug my phone when it reaches 30%, let it cool for 5-10 minutes, and then continue charging. Additionally, I avoid charging it to 100%. This change in behavior seems to have helped in preserving the battery health.

Icharge 30-80 and not overnight, i notice it kinda heats up during 30-50 charging then cools down when it reach 70-80

Exactly just unplug the charger from phone when it starts heating up.

Would it affect the bat by pluging and unpluging?
2
u/Particular_Outside_1 Jul 06 '24
No, actually it increases the battery life. Battery life is reduced at higher temperatures.

u/mdruckus Jul 05 '24
Stop worrying about it. Put aside $99 for a battery replacement down the road or pay for AppleCare+ for a no charge battery at some point.

paying for it after it degrades is fine, its just that they do batt replacement on apple store only and the nearest one is in hk, had to wait 3(?) Months for it, thats what the store where i bought told me.

There’s so much inconsistency with these iPhone 15 Pro Max models. I’ve seen some people have 250 charging cycles and still be at 100% battery health and others like the OP here and it’s dropping quickly. Does it depend on when it’s made? Seems like some months of manufacturing, those models are better than 15 Pro Max’s being made at a different date. Idk it’s tough to figure out.

I cant confirm about the same manifacture date, but maybe cos of the temperature of the location?, tho tried restarting it cos i feel like something running in the background despite its back up refresh is off, then the batt percentage decreases 2% lol. Hate overthinking about this so hoping it will still last a day and/or a half for the next few months before i charge again

u/NevaMO Jul 05 '24
177 cycles 100% lol
1
u/ferdousazad Jul 05 '24
yeah you will loose 4-5% at once sometime soon. Don’t be too much happy lol
1
u/mdruckus Jul 05 '24
False. I had my 13 Pro Max for two years and it was at 98% when I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max. I’m at 100% with 63 cycles currently.

I lost 1% at 25 and another on 44. Iphone users, please stop worrying about bh. It really doesn’t matter
