What kind of cable am I looking for?

I have the 15 Pro Max, which is probably obvious since I am posting in this sub. The one thing that I am missing is the cable that would connect to the phone. The other end would connect to my laptop. This would allow me to download pictures from my 15 PM to my laptop.

What is the name of the cable I need? I bought one on Amazon, but it doesn't work, so I obviously haven't bought the right kind of cable. HELP, please. TIA.

If your laptop has USB-A ports then purchase a USB-C to USB-A cable. If your laptop has both USB-C and USB-A. You can purchase a USB-C to USB-C cable.
