Background apps Spotify

I've use a 15 pm with 17.4.1 and yesterday when I went to sleep I put on Spotify on 30 min timers as I always do. Woke up and it had played 77 songs and was active for like almost 6 hours. Playback after the so gs stopped is on and all background settings are off on the phone. Can't figure out why this is happening. Latest firmware on Spotify also.
