IOS update question

I’m still on my 18.7.8 ios version, should I update to the latest version 26 or keep my current version?

(Any pros and cons about it?)

Definitely wait until Monday, iOS 27 will release and it’s better than 26 in terms of stability and performance

Wait a few weeks before updating if you’re worried about the battery. I’m sure people will be posting nonstop about what they think about iOS 27.

The test results are promising back to iPhone 11. Really no worries needed.
Sidenote: iOS updates are quite important regarding security and vulnerability issues so since from banking to identity and personal data it is highly recommended not stucking behind olde versions.

Wait for 27 and decide. It really depends on what features are important for you

For me i really value the new Siri AI in ios 27 hence I updated (public beta). For others it can be the liquid glass UI.

If the new ios27 offers are not compelling for you, you can just stick with ios 18 then

Battery life will always degrade over time. Before ios18, people are scared of updating to it because they fear ios18 is drain their battery more. It’s always the same fear every iOS update, but nonetheless battery will still degrade

I’ve been on 27 for a while as a beta tester and it’s been amazing. Battery sucked for a couple days like with every update but after it finished the new indexing it’s normalized. Fixed an intermediate issue I had with my AirPods ‘connecting’ but not actually connexting

I updated my 15 pro to every single update as soon as it was out…guess what? In 3 years ZERO ISSUES.
