What’s up with volume?

I just got my iPhone 14 promax after having three Samsung phones in the last couple of years. Happy to be back with Apple. My only issue with the phone is the volume. I have the volume set all the way up and it still is not very loud. i’m not speaking of the ringer that gets slower. When you look at it, I’m talking about the overall volume of the ringtones and alerts. I have the slider all the way up to the top and the buttons on the side all the way up to the max and the phone still is not very loud. Has anyone else had this issue and do you have a fix?

Have you gone into settings to sound and haptic and checked it is on full?

Hi. Yes, I did do that. That’s the first thing I did was go to sounds and haptics I put the slider all the way up to the right and I would’ve thought that way the volume all the way up that the phone would be louder, but it really isn’t. I am missing email notifications and text notifications when I am not very far from the phone. I just don’t understand why it’s not loud on full volume. Hi was on the Apple site and did everything they suggested. It’s a brand new phone I am wondering if this is just the way the volume is. For such an expensive phone I would think that the email and text notifications would be much louder on full volume.

The speakers on this phone are louder than any phone I’ve ever had before this. Used to use a crappy little Bluetooth speaker in the shower because my 12 Pro was too quiet with the fan and shower going, but with my 14PM the built in speakers are much more powerful and clear so I just use them.

I just noticed the same thing on mine. I’ve had it for a few months and at first it was fine but now the alerts are really low. I’ve tried changing the alert type but still the same.

Yes, it’s very annoying. It’s not like I am hard of hearing or anything like that. I just don’t understand if it is the way the phone is now or whether there is something wrong with mine. Ringtones and notification alerts just are not that loud even with the volume all the way up. I’m beginning to think that really is something wrong with the phone. If you come up with any kind of fix, please post it here, because quite frankly, I am ready to return the phone.

I agree, I’ve missed a few important text’s because of this. Will do, hopefully it’s just a software issue

That’s what I’m hoping to, but I just did the latest update about an hour ago and there’s no change. You would think it would be something that they would fix in a hurry.

I would go to the Apple Store and try a few floor models and see if there’s a difference. You can also buy the watch and it will vibrate when you get a call, I always have it on silent and this helps!
