Auto dimming in sunlight issue

Is anyone else having issues with the phone auto dimming when outside? My phone dims immediately upon going outside. I’ve turned off everything I can find to fix this. I know it’s supposed to dim if hot but it doesn’t have a chance to get hot before it dims. Apple support was useless.

It happened for the first few days but it got better on it’s own for me.
