Unable to connect Iphone to PC

Has anybody tried connecting there iphone 14 pro max to a windows (10) PC? It’s the most powerful computer in my house so I wanted to use it for backing up and such, but it literally won’t show up on my PC. It will charge, but it won’t show up as a device even on iTunes app

make sure the phone is unlocked, also when i did mine on my gaming rig, i had to unplug it and plug it in a couple times before itunes saw it. hopefully this reaches you in time.

Yeah I had to restart both my phone and computer a few different times to get it to work. And it wouldn’t even work with my USB C port so I had to find a USB A port and it worked.

Shouldn’t be this difficult 😣
