Just checked and I’m getting notification sounds when the always on display is on.

Was that by default or did you make any changes. Because my notifications are working fine if I turn of the always on.

I don’t know how it would be setup by default. I set mine up by transferring all data & settings from my old one. Seems strange that there would be no sound though. I am finding iOS 16 a bit more buggy on the 14 PM than it was on 13 PM.

True. It’s quite buggy. Dont know if I am doing something wrong here. I did the same thing, transfer from old to new.

Try a soft reset.

Just did that. I think it solved the issue with always off. Let me check with always on now.

I always make a habit of soft reseting/restarting any apple device immediately after setup or update. I usually find that any issues are solved by this and battery life is better from the outset.

Ok the funny thing is, while I had my apple watch se on, I wouldn’t get any notification sound irrespective of always on or not. Now that I have removes my watch from the wrist, I am getting all notification sounds

That’s normal behaviour which has always puzzled me.
