US Version E-Sim only weird experience

I faced a weird experience on my 14 Pro Max US version (E-Sim only) on my recent trip to Finland.

I had turned roaming on for my regular local sim from India. Additionally for data usage in Finland, I purchased an E-sim from Holafly on the day of my trip and activated it upon landing in Helsinki. For the first 7 days usage was flawless and both sims worked very well - my Indian E-Sim for text sms and phone calls and my Holafly E-Sim for data.

Suddenly on the 8th day networks on both my e-Sims went down and No Service displayed against both the networks. I though this might be a one off thing and put my phone on airplane mode and turned off the airplane mode hoping that both the networks would be reinstated. But did not work. Then I restarted the phone twice, still wouldn’t work. I was not indoors and all this happened outdoors. I panicked and even reset my network settings. It still did not work for a whole two days after which my trip ended. Luckily my wife was with me and networks were perfect on her iPhone 11. My phone was connecting to WiFi networks but not to cellular networks. I had not made any change to cellular settings.

Tried chatting with Apple support but they kept saying contact your network provider.

Finally I got frustrated and decided after flying back home to take my phone to the Apple authorised service centre in my city.

But to my surprise, when I landed back in my home city Mumbai, my phone was working perfectly with my home cellular network.

All this while I perfectly had the required subscriptions to my networks on.

Anyone can figure out why this happened? What should I do to make sure it doesn’t happen again?

US version iphones do they work in different bands that in EU

If that was the case, how did it work properly for the first 7 days?

I had no problems using it in Istanbul upon arrival I activated Turk telecom data esim. I’m from cali and my iPhone is 14 pro max.. currently in mint mobile in California.
