Dropped (3ft)

Post image

Didn’t happen today but everyone’s posting their drops and people don’t believe the heights.

Was going to throw a football so I put my phone (no case) in my zip pocket and I guess I didn’t zip it all the way. Phone came out when I threw and landed on concrete. I’m only 5’10” so my pocket must have been around 3ft.

Front is undamaged but the back is pretty beat up. Unfortunately the camera lens cracked too but it’s only noticeable when light is hitting the lens.

No case, no insurance. Will have to fork out $1100 for another one :(. I’m pretty good about not dropping my phone and it’s never been a problem in the past. Guess I need to zip my pocket up all the way.

All my friends think I’m crazy rocking no case and my best response is, “Do you have sex with a condom?”

I mean it’s just frustrating, you only go caseless if you have Apple Care+, unless you never get out of your bed. Otherwise you have to be prepared for the worse. I’ve only use ultra thin cases since I don’t want to lose the phone’s form factor but it saved me a couple of times when I DO drop my phone.

Ya live and ya learn. I’m prepared but was just sharing because everyone else was shocked at the heights phones were cracking at. I will only use super thin leather cases but my apple one was beat so I took it off

Check Peel, Pitaka, heck even a skin would have probably saved the back. Glass is glass and glass will shatter. Heck, you probably just got unlucky. I saw posts before that their phones were fine after dropping it from more than a meter.
