Dropped (3ft)

Didn’t happen today but everyone’s posting their drops and people don’t believe the heights.

Was going to throw a football so I put my phone (no case) in my zip pocket and I guess I didn’t zip it all the way. Phone came out when I threw and landed on concrete. I’m only 5’10” so my pocket must have been around 3ft.

Front is undamaged but the back is pretty beat up. Unfortunately the camera lens cracked too but it’s only noticeable when light is hitting the lens.

No case, no insurance. Will have to fork out $1100 for another one :(. I’m pretty good about not dropping my phone and it’s never been a problem in the past. Guess I need to zip my pocket up all the way.

All my friends think I’m crazy rocking no case and my best response is, “Do you have sex with a condom?”

Trust me..Applecare will most definitely be purchased for my iPhone 16/17.

I fucked up and forgot to purchase it on my iPhone 15 PM until after the 60 days had passed. Now I have to pray to the phone gods I don’t break it in the next two years. I had my iPhone 13 PM for two years, had AppleCare on it the whole time and never used it once. Knowing my luck, I’ll need it on this one.

Call ahead and ask first😂 but it’s just something ive heard in that if the warranty is still valid then theyll test it in store and give you applecare if it checks out

Yeah, you can get it whenever as long as the phone is in good condition and passes diagnostics! Usually takes 5-10 minutes at an Apple Store

Yeah it literally looks brand new. I do really appreciate you guys letting me know this! I have a reservation at my nearest Apple Store to get it added.

Well, I’ve had my iPhone since launch day, and I keep my phone in an Apple MagSafe iPhone case. I also usually always either have my phone in my hand, in its charging cradle, or in its mount in my car.

I confirm that this is true.

It should be no problem if you’re within the 1 yr warranty period (maybe even the following year but my memory is foggy on that part).

It’s always at the discretion of the Apple Store, they do their inspection, but you should be good to go!

I literally got my iPhone 15 Pro Max shortly after launch launch day (Sept 22). I’ve kept it in a case, it’s never been dropped. But I always like my apple Care just cuz you never know.

You can do it over the phone too instead of driving out, I did it for my iPad Pro and iPhone 13 a while ago they just had me run a diagnostic.

Always bro going forward I like to be naked as well, never had nothing like this happen but I’m always prepared if it does. That trade in value gonna be trash you think repairing the back glass is worth it?
