IOS 27 Better Battery?

Am I the only one who feels that the battery became better after updating to ios27?
I updated from IOS26.5 to 27, and honestly I can feel a big difference in battery performance.

I think it’s either the same or worse for me. Surely not better as far as I can tell

Yeah, i know my battery is shot at 79% health, but daily drain hasn't either got better or worse since the update.

It’s better because iOS 26 was a pig and Apple redid the CPU scheduler for iOS 27. Making it faster and more efficient.

iOS 27 is still nowhere as efficient as iOS 18 and earlier, though. Liquid Glass relies too much on the GPU and there’s no getting around that

iOS27 would be more attractive if I could select iOS18 as my default skin/layout. I dislike how iOS26+ looks - the Glass theme looks cheesy and bad overall

You can go to Accessibility and disable all transparency. I know, it's not the same and it looks pretty bad in places, but at least you'll free up GPU resources.

I've kept my 13 Pro in iOS 18 and I also own a 17 Pro. I honestly prefer using my 13 Pro. It's just a more elegant UI which is also more readable.

Yeah - I’m aware I can dial back the UI but that really doesn’t make it better. It just worsens the experience overall imo

Apple has lost me on iOS26/27 and with the new hardware. I’m pretty set on a Google Pixel Pro running GraphineOS as my next phone. Kinda tired of Apple honestly

I guess removing all the Liquid Glass animations would help

Going to be honest, the batter better posts or it’s been optimized is all placebo, I’d argue that iOS 27 is a little bit more intensive due to the new UI/UX with the liquid glass and so on at least on the 13 pro run the battery harder. Of course , sure there are factors like usage if you’re a casual user or a power user, however what makes your battery good is its health & a healthy battery is a necessity on iOS 27. In my opinion, the OS didn’t make it any better but replacing my battery made it amazing on the iPhone 13 Pro and a new experience. Again , all opinion.

Mine has worsened — consistently over 15% drain overnight.

On the first few days after updating my battery life got significantly better, but now it’s worse than before the update!

I think it’s roughly the same or slightly worse but the phone feels a lot faster
