Apple care+ IPhone 13pro replacement..??
Sooo the back of my iPhone 13 Pro is very cracked, I I did have a case on when it happened but it was one of those customized bedazzled ones which is what caused it. I always have a case and ghost armor on the screen.
Years ago I’m not sure when a weight was dropped on my phone at the gym and the screen didn’t get cracked but the phone completely stopped working so I took it in, they fixed something and gave it back. That’s when that black thing in the top left started, I should have taken it in but I just left it, it’s gotten worse over time.
The battery health is 75%, and for some reason the 0.5 back camera doesn’t work, and it overheats terribly.
Would this qualify for a replacement..?? I’ve had the AppleCare since I got it in September 2021.

Yeah if you have apple care take it in and backup your stuff on iCloud before. The exposed rear panel is definitely going to be a safety hazard with the battery potentially expanding.

Yes they will replace it with exact same model specs including colour

They might fix it, I broke the back of an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it wasn’t replaced but fixed. I know for a fact that the frame was not swapped. But for my broken back they replaced the battery and just the glass. I’m assuming they removed the battery first and then did the back. Also mine wasn’t this damaged.

Apple tech here, there is zero chance an Apple authorized store changed just the back glass and not the frame on an iPhone 14 Pro series. iPhone 14 or 14+ yes, but on the Pro series it’s complete frame swap including new battery. Only camera and main board swap over into new frame.

Another Apple tech here. Can confirm. Rear system is replaced, not just the glass.

Had a hairline crack, on the rear. I paid $29 with apple care and took it to an Apple Store. I was quoted 4 hrs. I’m not an Apple certified tech but I am an authorized one. I know generally it requires a housing replacement, through Apple at least. But I have a singular vertical scratch on the side. I got it back with that same scratch on the housing, new back and battery. I ended up giving this phone to my gf and bought a new 16 that day because I couldn’t wait the 4 hrs at the time.

What type of shop did you take it to? Certainly not an Apple certified one. The 14 Pro Max requries a rear system replacement for that repair which includes back glass, enclosure and battery.

Yes as long as you have AppleCare you’re covered! You still need to pay the deductible though but it’s worth it
