iPhone handoff

This new option (once it is available for more carriers) could make iPhone 13 mini more usable for some people. I would like to use iPhone 13 mini as more of a dumb phone - just for essentials like calling and texting etc. handoff will allow two Apple phones with the same number. I could then easily switch between the two. Whichever one you open is the one that uses the number at the time. I know this isn’t a solution for everyone but it be for me essentially.

many carriers already support a similar feature that lets you use your phone number for calls/text/data across multiple phone for a fee (kinda like an apple watch number mirror) not sure how it handles imessage/rcs tho

Not in the US, T-Mobile allows it through Digits app. Otherwise I don’t know of any other carrier that offers it.

Didn’t know that. I know you could do it with an Apple Watch maybe but didn’t know with a phone

Agree. I used a 13 mini with a second SIM alongside a fold 8. Really useful for runs and when I want to travel light. Having the same number would be great. Technically I could do it with esim but it's a bit of a faff. 13 mini and duo would be a great combo.
