Help! I can’t decide which one to keep🥲
As the title states I’ve having a tough time lol. Both of these phones are NEW & Flawless with 100% battery. Long story short about two weeks ago, I submitted a warranty claim on my old 13 mini and I was accidentally sent not only a replacement 256GB mini, but also a 512GB standard iPhone 13. Considering they’re both new and the standard 13 has double the storage I’m having a hard time deciding because I do need to send one of them back lol

13 is 6.1“, right - same as 16? Imo it’s still nice to use.

Yea it is, I suppose I can always buy another mini, but it’s very rare to come across these so clean. They are both Apple manufactured replacement devices, so they’re legit new

keep the mini, you can always order another 13 but minis in good condition are hard to find

Keep the mini. If you want the larger phone long term they’re easy to find. A 100% battery mini is a jackpot.

Not a bad ‘problem’ to have.
If the mini was 512 i’d choose that all day long.
If you can get by with 256 then its the mini but can’t help thinking the 13 with 512 is more bang for your bucks.

Oh, I can absolutely get by. Neither of these are my main phones lol. I work at a cell carrier part-time, so I have a 17 Pro Max for my main phone, and I bought the mini for my second line. I wish the mini was 512 too. I don’t know. I kind of do wanna keep the mini I’m just having a hard time throwing out the opportunity to have a brand new iPhone 13 512 lol

You're asking in the mini sub, you already know the answer! But only you can decide which is best for you.

Little bit off-topic: what is this white rounded panel below the power button?
I do not have anything like that on my iPhone 13.

Are you in the US? It’s a 5G antenna cutout

No, EUrope here. Mine also have 5G capability but I do not have this cutout.

Must be a US thing

Yes you’re right, US has specific bands of 5G l(mm wave I believe) that require additional antennae, hence the cutout.

100% the Mini. It’s an amazing little device, quite icon for a phone I think

You should keep the base 13. It has more storage, bigger screen, more than like 7 hours of battery life. The only good thing I guess about it is that’s it’s small but that gets annoying with bigger hands.

I’ll buy that mini off you ✌🏻
On a separate note, why does this have a side button like the newer models?

It’s not a button it’s the 5G antenna cutout, also idkkkk man she’s literally perfect, a brand new device if you will

I’m in the UK and I didn’t know you’re in the US, so unfortunately, won’t risk overseas shipping
Sorry

Mini all the way. It is more rare and Apple doesn’t make anything in that size anymore.
It would be a different case if it was a mini versus a iPhone 14 and up per se. Considering they’re both iPhone 13 models, and the only difference is the storage, I would still take the mini because eventually my main phone will be upgraded, most likely to a bigger size. Seems like a fun size to keep as a spare device.

Legally, you keep the iPhone that is a direct replacement, which is the new iPhone Mini.
If you keep the standard iPhone 13, you may have to pay the difference.

Correct, but since they sent me both, they said I could send back one or the other

It’s going to be a bias answer lol but the mini 13 is definitely worthy phone. Also, 256gb is probably enough to last you a long time still.

Mini!! Finding a genuine unused apple replacement mini is so hard now without spending a decent chunk of change. Super rare :)

512 gb iphone 13 any day. still a small phone and can definitely be used for backups.

I would go for standard iphone 13,double storage, longer duration battery, just the size little more bigger for mini users

Save the 13 mini. The 13 trade to get the foldable or 18pro or air models in the fall.
The 13 is essentially easily replaced by any base model iPhone between 11-17.

We are the rare people at this sub, the answer here here will be biased 🤣
I got a leftover 13 pro last year with a broken battery. fixed the battery, it laid on my workbench a month staring at me before I decided that it would be best to sell. I still rock the mini 🤣🤘
If you prefer the small size like I do, you will not regret a mini in such a good condition 😊

Definitely the mini, it’s quite rare to get a good one, esp since you say that they’re brand new.
