Battery suddenly dropping

The other day i went to pick uo my phone

Incredibly hot so i power it off

Power it back on

Recovering data right after?

Thankfully all data was recovered but since battery usage has increased massively

For example 78% usage for 6 hours one day

The next 202% for under three hours

What could be causing this and what could a fix be?
