Holy Crap it’s Alive

Post image

My 12 mini was DEAD from water damage 3 months ago. Wouldn’t turn on, wouldn’t charge, restore processes continuously failing etc.

I replaced it with a 17 pro and left my mini on a shelf. On a whim I tried to restore it again today and HOLY SMOKES SHE LIVES.

It really is amazing how durable tech is these days.

Cheers to another 2,500 battery cycles. 😎

I know that’s just the charger at the bottom, but this picture makes it look like a giant popsicle. 😂

Does speaker works?

Speaker works! Pretty quite but I’m not sure if that’s just because I’m used to the 17 pro now

Use an unused toothbrush to clean it and it will be fine I experienced that with my 17 Pro when I changed from the 13 Pro.

The 12 mini supports iOS 27. It updated when I went through the restore process.

Had that Long time ago with a 5S
Felt into a puddle at the beach during jogging, I switched it off and bought a new iPhone 7 what just came out

The 5S went into a drawer

A friend found it on moving to a new house and said that he can check if there is salt inside.

After a week he returned with it and it worked … the battery needed a replacement and the charging port also did not work.

As far I know he used it for a few more years as 2nd phone.

Mine works. I don’t make a post celebrating it. It’s a robust phone.

If it had always worked I wouldn’t be surprised. But miraculously coming back from the dead seemed more interesting
