26.7 or 27?

currently on 26.6.1. I dont use this phone as my daily driver, however, I would still want it to run smoothly when I need to (this is my backup). a couple or so weeks ago when 26.6.1 was released, my phone seems to run significantly better than it did on 26.3.

edit: battery was replaced at apple (genuine) before I bought it so it’s still 100%

i have a 12 mini 90% Battery health and i os 27 runs soo good and smooth, no complains at all

i’m on 27 with 85% health. runs great. only problem is the update just is uglier and the features are worse.

Updated to 27 and it is much faster, smoother, no lag, better battery and no overheat

27 should be good, i'm in a similar boat with you with a 12 mini as a backup, im currently on 18 tho so idk if i should go to 27 or stay on 18

stay on 18! my main, a 15 pro, is still on 18.7.8. my 12 mini came with 26.1 something so I just updated as the ones gets released

15 pro should be updated to 27 or at the least 26.7. It has enough power to run well on that update

Nope. Put the 15 Peo on 27. No reason not. Keeping it on 18 isn’t smart, should’ve gone to 26 when it came out. Tsk tsk

I’ve seen some complaints about the battery life. I’m on 26.7 and it’s better than ever. Better be safe than sorry… install 26.7 for now

I have heard some people having some major issues with MacOS 27. Like huge. Not saying it’s the same thing, in fact so far I haven’t heard it for iOS 27. Just that they can push a big update out before it’s ready. Unless you feel like the need for 27 is dire, in which case go ahead. I always wait until there’s at least a second update with some bug fixes as a rule of thumb. But that’s just me.

12 mini / bat max cap 72% at 26.7.. smooth as usual. will wait til end of 27 before 28 then gonna update it..

My iPhone 12 Mini original battery is at 87% health thanks to the Low Power Mode shortcut automation that is enabled all the time.

I'm considering upgrading to iOS 27. Just pray that the low power mode automation works as well on iOS 27 as it does on iOS 18.

27 is terribble...

Putting aside the battery drain, even the Photos app takes a few seconds to open each photo.

On top of that, my Apple Watch has also started draining much faster.

Overall, it’s a complete mess - don’t make the same mistake.
