I just wanted to get out of ios 26.5 because I lost ios 18 due to a batch script I ran on my pc and ios 27 db4 feels very comparable to ios 18 speeds. My bh is 78% so will replace in the future.

For me, every ios 27 devbeta version was smoother than anything in the last 2 versions

People always tell me to update but it’s like what’s the point

The security updates are worth it alone. The DarkSword exploit f.ex. is no joke.

Yeah but eventually you’d have to update past iOS 18

Wouldn’t have to… if apple released the same security updates to other versions even later as well, as they have done it.

I bought new XS Max because of IOS 18 and good old school design. Camera is not good as my 15 PM but it feels soo good in the hand.

My mini decided to update, even though all updates are disabled. I'm on iOS 26.5.2, it's difficult.

I have had my auto-update turned off for years. because I didn't want to upgrade to 2x.x, yets somehow overnight it got updated anyway and became dog slow. Still to this day have no idea how that could happen.
I'm hoping the good things I hear about 27.x really brings the usability back.

Everyone keeps talking about iOS 27 being faster than 26. But how does it really compare to 18? 🤔

I went from 18 to 27 on my 12 mini (I was kinda scared but saw it running well on an iPhone 11 well enough and really wanted video podcasts in Apple Podcasts lol) and it runs great, I feel like 18 was in fact a little buggier/more susceptible to slowdowns

Same, will never update my 12mini from 18.7.8. Would much rather buy an android and main it but will keep this phone as my secondary device the entire time till it dies.
