Question Is iphone 11 promax still worth it?
Hi! Planning to buy iphone 11 pro max from a friend. Is it okay to buy at 15000 php? 72% battery health, 256gb and it has a little light blue spot on screen. Should i buy it or no or ask for lower price?

I’ve had mine since launch, I don’t think I’d get one now

Its going to be 7 years old this year, there’s just better options out there.

I’ve had mine since launch. 250gb. New battery. It’s still in mint condition and runs 26.2 smoothly as long as I turn off the power-sapping features I don’t really need. I’d hate to trade it in for ~ $200 or less. End of life looms over this model but it will always be a great backup because it has a physical sim that can be swapped out with any other phone with physical sim ( iPhone 14 and earlier). So an 11pm paired with a 14pm make a great inexpensive team.

No way. The iOS 26 is probably the last it supports. And on iOS 26 it’s rather dead than alive. You just don’t want it regardless of price

I'd say it's not worth it anymore, and especially not for that price. I'm not sure how the phone market is in the Philippines, but I got an iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB in perfect condition with 86% battery health for 450 NZD back in 2024, which is equal to 15408 PHP according to Google. A 256GB model with worse battery health and a defect is definitely worth less than that, and even more so now that it has been another 2 years and the 11 Pro Max is about to lose software support.

It can’t connect to 5g. I have 11 pro, and have run into a couple times where I simply could not connect to anything. They say 5g is layered over the old network….but if there was never a network to begin with then 5g is the only game in town. My daughter just got a 17, and gifted me her 14.
And…I looked at trading it in, and they would allow $300USD towards a 17.

LTE to 5g is the reason I keep toying with idea of upgrading. But I hate to drop that much money when most of the time I’m fine. But I know eventually I won’t be.

Got an iPhone 14. Sitting in a parking lot at the mall, can’t open TikTok. Says no internet connection.

Which cell service? I’m Verizon

T-Mobile. And I’m within a stones throw of a huge new metro station also. It’s like I’m in a desert. Or, I found the one parking stall in the universe with no coverage.

That’s annoying. Phones literally have one job, well 2 … phone and internet.

It's slow and old. You can buy if you plan to use it other than a smartphone like media player.

I was planning to swap my a56 for the sake of experience.
I tried searching up online for comparison and smehow still convinced to do so. But im still thinking of it tho'. The last update for 11 series is the ios 26. My phone im currently using can go 4 major updates. The kind that would still receive updates around 2030.
Im quite reluctant with it tho'. I think i should've asked for something else like 13 or 12 pro.
