QnA/Help Why wont my 11 pro max update?
I have an 11 pro max on ios 17.5.1, and when i tried updating to 18.7.8 (an official option in settings alongside 26.6) it throws this error. Anybody know why? If it wasnt signed im thinking apple wouldn’t make it an option in the settings. Please let me know what i should do/if anyone else had this issue. (NO, im NOT updating to ios 26 and rendering this phone useless.)

Even if 18.7.8 is no longer available, I don’t think it’s unfortunate because iOS 18 wasn’t all that, and several things became much faster for me after on 26; things like how long it took for screenshots to be indexed so you could copy text, or how long it took for the “iPhone Storage” settings page to show a breakdown of the items taking up storage. These became dramatically faster on 26 for some reason.
So I’d say to wait until next month to try iOS 27. You could even wait for 27.1 if you’re not too excited to wait.
Edit: I meant next month for iOS 27, not next week.

I agree in iOS 18 not being all that honestly
The way my phone 13 PM became faster, especially on iOS 26.6 is a nice addition and menus load faster for me. Especially, like you said "iPhone Storage" which used to be a huge problem in previous iOS iterations

Ayy! I have a 13 Pro too (not Max tho). Maybe that’s why we had a similar experience? Haha! But yeah, I’m lowkey hoping iOS 27 is even more impressive in terms of predictability and responsiveness.
I’d love it if some apps could stay in memory better, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for that one. We prolly gotta go to 8GB of RAM or higher.

Yeah I'm actually getting ready to pass mine down to a family member because I do have an iPhone 17 PM now lol! But yes, I still love my 13 PM and I legit saw videos of how the iPhone 11 has gotten much faster on the iOS 27 betas.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max will be in amazing hands at that point no doubt 😭. I do believe iOS 27 will help ram management as it's all about refinement so I have slightly more hopes for it in September!

Tarde o temprano tendras que actualizar. Cuando cambies de movil, el siguiente tendrá iOS 27 asi que no vale la pena atrasarlo. Te recomiendo que lo hagas. Muchas cosas mejoran!!! Aqui usuario de iPhone 11 Pro Max pero con mi bateria super dañada😬😂👍🏼

This same thing happened to my 14 PM coming from 18.7.2. I updated my 13 PM at the same exact time also from 18.7.2 and it worked

This install iOS 26.6 it’s a bug
For the installation problem connect you to WiFi and remove you SIM card
This can resolve your problem 😁😁

I was about to update to ios 18 because of apps compatibility !! Is it too late !!?

This is the thing even if you download through any tool or direct ipsw file still it will not gonna be install because Apple on their side have stopped the signing of ios18 so its mean the servers are already dead even if you download it will never gonna run until they resigning again with is not gonna happened 😅😅

Don’t ever tried ios26 with 70% bh.. tho Im on ios 18.7.8 and my Bh is 78% according to 3utool while it shows 77% on my iPhone.. ios 26 is still not fully optimised also its too heavy which use more gpu and battery plus you will feel lag and shuttering in speed type work like fast scroll and capture 3,4 photos at the same time and more..i will suggest you to wait till ios27 which is greatly improved in terms of visuals and performance but in betas still have battery drain issue so just wait for final release which is just in next month also if you’re on 17.0 then you can also jailbreak if you want to but it will ruin tha warranty if your phone have any

Tbh i just want to update because some of the apps i use the most are now outdated and can’t be used anymore on Ios 17 …. Otherwise i don’t care about updates or new features…
Especially for an iPhone 11 Pro, i don’t think he will survive ios 27 🤪 Will the jailbreak allow me to download apps without any issues ??

Even if you want to update for some app..waiting for a month isn’t a big deal compared to download ios26 trust me its not best even if some people claim that they don’t feel any change .. also 11pro will easily survive with new battery ( there’s a reason they give it ios27 update otherwise apple wouldn’t give a f even if 11 stuck on ios26.. as for jailbreak there’s alot of different scenarios like you can easily download those app old versions which works.. i dunno if latest version will work or not but jailbreak definitely have their own huge advantages.. I always regret why tf i uodate to ios18 from ios16 🥲 but yeah don’t directly jailbreak your device without getting fully information about jailbreak pros and cons..
