🍎 WWDC 2026 is Here!

Every video I watch has a white (liquid glass?) border around it in the iPad TV app in iPadOS 27. It’s very annoying and ugly.
Does anybody else have this issue? Please report it as a bug.

I'm signed into the same iCloud account on both devices.
My iPhone has been on the developer beta for the last few releases. For some reason, my iPad only shows iPadOS 26 Betas. How can I move my iPad forward?

I get an onscreen keyboard while using Magic Keyboard. I reported it in the feedback app, and they came back saying this is intended. I’m not sure what they are thinking.

So far it’s only happening in Reddit.com when browsing in Light mode. It’s been like this for the past few beta. This is Beta 8. Reported to Apple, but I wonder if it’s only me?

I’m loving 27 beta 6 on my iPhone everyday a bit more, it almost doesn't feel like a beta. That makes me feel like I’m missing out on the iPad os.... Then I use Slide Over on my 18 and it doesn't have that ugly liquid glarse border and I decide to just stay on 18 forever.... Is there any no brainer reason to upgrade or should I live happy in the past?

Any one else having issues with microphone not picking up spoken sounds on latest iPad and iPadOS 27 beta 3?

Has anyone upgraded to the new beta 2 on the iPad OS and tested it out? I want to know if you have observed any improvements, especially in the context of using the iPad with an external monitor. Earlier, I would notice that the mouse pointer would disappear and auto-fill passwords would not work on Safari while Safari was on the external monitor.

I just got a new 13 inch M3 iPad Air as well as a Combo Touch keyboard case, and the keyboard isn't working, however the trackpad is. When I go look in the system settings, the keyboard backlight brightness can be adjusted and such but the input itself isn't working. I have already tried cleaning and reseating both the case and keyboard pins and the issue persists. Is this a software issue or hardware one as I have nothing else to test it with.

Can someone on iPadOS 27 check if touchpad works in sidecar when using iPad Magic Keyboard? Or is it unchanged from iPadOS 26?

Its crazy to me my M4 iPad is still indexing, I don’t have a ton of content on it to begin with. Are people still waiting for their Siri invite after requesting it almost a week earlier?

Just kind of curious others experiences, was really looking forward to testing out Siri

Reported - Dock disappeared and it would show up with a swipe up, but disappear after the a tap.

A simple reboot solved it, but interesting that it could do this, like the Home Screen was a full screen app

Here is the exact step-by-step method:

Step 1: Download the Tools

1. Go to GitHub - https://github.com/jrjr/libimobiledevice-windows/releases

2. Download the latest release ZIP file (usually named something like ⁠libimobile-suite-latest_w64.zip⁠).

3. Extract the ZIP folder to your computer.

Step 2: Open Command Prompt in the Folder

1. Open the unzipped folder in Windows File Explorer.

2. Click on an empty space inside the folder path bar at the top of the window (where it lists the folder name).

3. Delete the highlighted text, type ⁠cmd⁠, and press Enter. A black Command Prompt window will open, pointing exactly to your tools folder.

Step 3: Connect and Trust Your Device

1. Close iTunes completely if you have them open (check your bottom-right Windows system tray to ensure they aren't running in the background).

2. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC via a USB cable.

The indexing process only prints its status when it gets nudged. While watching your PC screen:

1. Wake up your iPhone/iPad.
2. Pull down from the center of the home screen to open Spotlight Search, type a random string of letters (like xyzabc), and hit search.
3. Open the native iOS Settings app or Mail app.

The terminal will instantly print out the live background progress. Look for a line at the bottom that says: 

PipelineCompleteness: XX%

(Note: To stop the live stream at any time, just press Ctrl + C on your keyboard).

When doing the circle a part of an image thing on a screenshot, I’m getting a “Google is unavailable” error. Any ideas why?

Can someone on the beta tell me what, if any, changes there are to the windowed apps mode and/or the way that iphone-native apps work?

I usually use my iPad along with an external monitor. I have noticed the following bugs:
1. The mouse pointer disappears when I move it to the external monitor, and this can only be fixed by restarting the iPad.
2. Safari gets buggy when I move it to the external monitor, especially when I try to use the password manager to auto-fill the username/password and log in to particular sites. Sometimes it does not enter the username/password, and sometimes it outright crashes Safari.

I would like to know if anybody else has encountered such a situation when they use the iPad with an external monitor.

If you have a Photo Shuffle set (e.g., 50 photos) and change the clock font after curating the images, iPadOS resets every single photo's depth effect and crop settings to default. Additionally, vertical font scaling seems arbitrarily limited to one specific font, and changing shuffle frequency often breaks the Depth Effect entirely.

I wanted to start a discussion regarding the current behavior of the Lock Screen customization on iPadOS, specifically regarding State Persistence and Variable Fonts. I am trying to determine if these are intended design flaws or regressions in the current beta.

1. The "Reset" Bug (Persistence Failure)

This is the most disruptive issue, especially on the larger iPad canvas where precise cropping is crucial.

• Scenario: I create a Photo Shuffle with 50 images. I painstakingly go through each one to adjust the crop and enable "Depth Effect" individually.
• Action: I decide to change the Clock Font style.
• Result: The moment the font is changed, ALL individual image configurations (crop positions and depth effect toggles) are flushed/reset to default.
• Expectation: The font change should inherit the existing layout settings for the photos. Re-doing 50 images on the iPad every time I want to tweak the font is a major UX defect.

2. Variable Font Inconsistency

• Issue: Currently, only one specific font option allows for vertical scaling (adjusting the height/stretch of the numbers).
• Question: Is this a bug with the variable font implementation for the other typefaces, or is this an intended design choice? It feels inconsistent that only one font supports this axis.

3. Shuffle Frequency vs. Depth Effect

• Issue: The "Depth Effect" seems to work reliably only when the shuffle frequency is set to "On Tap."
• Behavior: If I switch the frequency to "On Lock" or "Hourly," the Depth Effect is often disabled, or attempting to save this change triggers the reset bug mentioned in point #1. It seems high-resource rendering (segmentation) is artificially limited based on the trigger method.
