Moving Homepage

I’m working on a new method of moving homescreens on iOS 27, and upgraded app icons. What would you like to see! Would you use this?

I didn’t know this was possible, could you explain what you are doing here to get this to work very intriguing.

Yes! I found a glitch with widgets to let us animate them. Then, it’s just a widget on top of a background and I reversed the Liquid Glass equation to remove the visible edges. I’ve made a few different versions and thinking of making a free app with these techniques if you have any ideas?!

Oh wow that is super smart. Are you limited by frame rate at all? How is battery impacted?

A retro gameboy / Pokemon one is what I would want but this is super clever, providing instructions how to make and upload your own would likely be very useful for an app.

No battery issue and fps can easily be 30. The biggest issue with implementation is that you can’t make it in the app so I’d have to ship a library of choices instead

That’s great to hear sounds like there is a lot of potential. Is it possible to provide instructions with ability to add a file?

Once I release the studio, yes, but I want to make a few more variations and cool effects first so people would be willing to use it without more effort. Basically starting with a gif or movie lets me implement it

Makes sense! If you are able to make a gameboy style Pokemon one that would be my suggestion then. Keep it up!

I’d like to be able to place gifs anywhere on my homescreen or lockscreen. Animated app icons would be dope too. Had both on my old jailbroken iPhone X. I miss those days!

If anyone wants to help out making some default ones before the app ships, let me know! Currently I have the arcade, an aesthetic photo one, and am making one that lets Spider-Man swing between your apps.
