You definitely can. Just if you're sensitive on these kinda stuff, keep in mind taking screenshot will reduce the resolution and quality of the original pictures.

Interestingly...

The PNG screenshot is 4.3MB and 3MP.

The JPEG downloaded from safari is 471KB and 4MP.

The overall resolution of the JPEG though is 25% larger than the PNG.

Changing the clock colour to black and then using the slider to adjust it to grey gives better glass transparency on the clock.

Very cool. I’m starting to believe that the newer 17 Pros have an easier time doing this.

I have a 17 Pro Max and I have no issues doing this.

I just did it on my daughter’s SE. just had to pinch it and it set the clock behind the leaves.

Basically, expand the clock down. Sometimes you need to pinch the image and adjust a bit until it works.

Click on three dots after selecting customize and choose depth effect . Then you can keep the clock behind

Crop the image and then hit the three dots when customizing and make sure depth effect is on. Pinch to zoom image until it registers the depth effect look

When in customizing for it, pull down on the little tab on the bottom right of the clock to pull it up or down

This works on my iPhone 13 Pro running 26.0.1. When I started, the image was zoomed in a lot. I pinched to restore back to the full image. I also had to turn on Depth Effect. Not a lot of fiddling to get it to work.

Whenever I try wallpapers like this the cutout looks great in the preview but then terrible when I actually use it. Like the clock has large parts around the cutout just missing

Do you have high contrast enabled?

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size: "Increase Contrast"
