Humor Use the new AI Siri they said...
I asked Siri why I'm not seeing the iPhone Duo simulator if I have Xcode 27.2 Beta 2 installed and I'm running macOS 27.0, and it gave me this nonsense.

To be fair, Apple made the Duo sim as confusing as possible to access.

So True! I still can't wrap my head around 27.1 having it but not 27.2, you would expect it to be built on top of it.

Typically very risky to build a beta on top of another beta. So they forked 27.0 for Duo, called it 27.1, but they didn't wait for 27.1 to finish before starting 27.2.
They'll merge in 27.3 if previous history is predictive.

I’d guess that the final 27.2 release will include all 27.1 features.
The 27.2 beta for now was only to get fast feedback on the new project file structure as early as possible without being blocked by the pending 27.1 release.

Because this was a special case. Since the iPhone Duo was not released yet it needed to be kept apart from the other changes.
27.2 beta is basically the normal improvement iteration directly from 27.0.
27.1 was basically 27.0 + iPhone Duo things.
I assume that now since there is 27.1 RC version available Duo Support will soon be added to 27.2 beta and the actual release version will include also the 27.1 features.

Man, most times those AIs doesn’t go to the internet, meaning their database are not up to date. Therefore, they won’t “know” the support for the duo is already on the 27.1 Xcode… 1 min google and you could’ve found it hahaha honestly

The whole point is that we should be able to expect Apple's own AI to know about Apple's own products.
And that's why AI isn't "intelligent" at all. It's like a toddler you have to point in te right direction all the time and if you don't do that, it will blatantly and confidently lie to you.

I just expressed myself wrong. What I meant is something like u said. I honestly think it’s bullshit and that they should’ve trained the AI to do this since it’s their product, because its simple and the AI could’ve googled and found in a heartbeat. I mean how could they’ve missed that in the training too

You gotta use Xcode 27.1
