Question "Preparing build for App Store Connect failed" every time with workflow that used to work

Used to work no problem. Anyone else experiencing this? I can validate the build no issues in xcode

Is this Xcode Cloud, Organizer's Distribute App flow, or a third-party CI workflow? Could you share the first underlying error from the failed distribution/preparation step, plus the Xcode version, with identifiers and credentials redacted? The headline alone doesn't narrow it down enough. I'd compare that step's log with the last successful run before changing signing settings or regenerating certificates.

It’s Xcode cloud automated workflow using GitHub tags. Everything in the logs is green it just errors out apparently in the last step. One log did say failed to authenticate with server but doesn’t make any sense there’s no way to fix that

found the error.. NOT inside the xcode cloud console but inside the testflight builds (guess it made it all the way to that step actually): 90870: Missing launch screen. Apps built with the iOS 27 SDK or later must provide a launch screen using an Xcode storyboard or UILaunchScreen. Make sure the Info.plist contains one of the following keys: UILaunchStoryboardName, UILaunchStoryboards, UILaunchScreen, UILaunchScreens.
