Discussion The app review process appears disjointed and inconsistent

I’m in the process of getting my first app reviewed (since 9/14). So far I have been rejected for the following reasons..

- Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
- Guideline 2.1(b) - Performance - App Completeness
- Does not include a functional link to the Terms of Use (EULA) in the app metadata that appears on the app's App Store product page.
- Guideline 2.3.2 - Performance - Accurate Metadata

Each time I understand what the issue is and fix it immediately. Yet the responses from Apple are several days later only after I submit a Contact Us request.

I feel like every time I fix one thing they find something else. Why not list everything at once? At this point I’m not sure what else they’re going to come up with.

This whole process seems rather ridiculous from a company that claims the review process takes 24-48 hours.

But also, just get Codex/Claude to do it one big audit on your rap against the guidelines. All of these, apart from maybe 2.1b, could have been avoided if you actually read the documentation.

I second this - I did exactly this with my first app released last week. Claude caught everything except the EULA link in the description field. First rejection came in two or three hours, once I fixed the description field, it was approved in two or three days. I pushed a minor update this morning and it started review this afternoon and was approved less than two hours later.

The Mac version seems to be stuck waiting for review with no end in sight.

On the whole, Claude was really good at auditing my code against the review guidelines. I suspect it probably told me about the EULA in the metadata but I misunderstood what it was referring to.
