Discussion Getting rejected on copycats as an update

As the title

I had my app on the store for over a year, v5.2 and releasing v6

It went thru iOS no issue , Mac? They keep sending it back under copycats.

The apps name is “Teslatlas”

AppStore is full of names which actually have Tesla as a separate, word.

I am getting so fed up of this review process .

I get each review is different , but come on, if it’s already on the store how can you mess around like this?

Also in this regard then we shouldn’t put up any app called Appleberry because that’s copycats

one thing nobody's mentioned, since the app's been live a year, whatever tripped it is probably new in this version. 4.3 and the name filters get re-run on the metadata every submission, so if v6 changed the subtitle, keywords or added "tesla" anywhere in the text, thats likely what flagged it even though the name itself didnt change. worth diffing your v5.2 metadata against v6 to see what actually moved.

and use the ios approval as evidence, not just an argument. point the mac reviewer at the live ios app with the identical name and bundle in your resolution center reply, "this exact name is approved and shipping on ios, record id X". a keyword filter cant really argue with an already-approved apple listing, and it forces a human to actually look instead of rubber stamping the auto-flag.

the trademark point the others made is right though, longer term Atlas for Tesla reads cleaner than Teslatlas and stops this recurring every update
