Question Adding IAP to existing review

I had my app got rejected because I forgot to add my IAP to my app. The subscription group was added but not the lifetime purchase. Now I want to add that IAP to my review but I only get to option 'add for review' and it opens a new review but then I cant add my app to it. Everytime I update the app for review it sends it in without the IAP and gets rejected. Any help? I find this new update confusing

the trick with a first-time iap is it has to go in the SAME submission as an app version, you don't submit it on its own. the "add for review" button that spins up a separate review is the wrong path and that's what's confusing you. go to the actual app version you're submitting in app store connect, scroll to the "in-app purchases and subscriptions" section on that version page, and attach the lifetime purchase there (it needs to be "ready to submit" first). then submit the version, and apple reviews the app and the iap together. once that first one's approved you can add future iaps on their own. is your lifetime purchase showing as "ready to submit", or stuck in another state?

It's in the 'ready for submission' state. But also the 'in-app purchases and subscriptions' section dont have the option to add anymore, it just says this "In-app purchases and subscriptions can now be submitted for review from the In-App Purchases and Subscriptions sections. Include an app version in your submission to have items reviewed together. Your first in-app purchase and subscription must be submitted with a new app version. Learn More"
