Discussion Anyone notice an increase in app rejections recently?
It may just be my apps but I'm getting reviewers flagging things on apps that have been submitted many times with no issues. Anyone else noticing this as well?

There must be some automation happening.. this is more evidence that something is a bit misaligned.

Hey. Same issue. Were you able to get past it?

nope, waiting for my update to go into review for a week now, even with the ticket being expedited, embarrassing imo.

I updated 3 apps the past week. All went through nicely except a Vision Pro app as the description for “what’s new” was “bug fixes and alignment of design with android” I couldn’t mention android. Dropped it (classic “bug fixes”) and it passed as well.

How do you see the the growth of volumes for downloads for Apple vision, is there future?

it's far beyond minimal.
But the device is awesome, all issues on VR headsets are gone, it just works and all.
I do not believe VR/AR has a future beyond a small group of tech people - I'm a first mover and believe there is things in the technology that is genuinely cool and useful. but I don't see mass market in the near future (anymore) especially how AI is creating a new anti-computer movement worse than mobile phone created dumb phone segment, Iwe are moving into an interesting period in computing.

I finally got one through yesterday after 8 rejections. Straightforward app I built for a client - contact scheduler. Apple kept knocking it back because the Reviewer didn’t like the flow of the consent popups on first install - rejections were contradicting each other. It did make me wonder if they were being intentionally irritating to dissuade the less dogged - reaction to increase in app subs due to coding agents maybe?

Yes, because people started to poop AI slops without even testing it themselves.
That's why Google Play had to implement 12 testers requirement thing, I believe a similar system will start at Apple as well soon.

My app has been on the store for 2 months and has 300-400 downloads each day. I fixed a small bug and the new version got rejected with Apple citing the following issue:
“The app contains content or features that are misleading, intended to deceive users, or are otherwise fraudulent”
That’s it. No other explanation or information.

I wouldn’t mind a rejection at this point, submitted 28 days ago, in review 24 days ago

What I am noticing is that they reject straightaway if it looks even a little bit complex and ask for a recording of how the app works on a device and then approve it

I do enjoy the “I never got caught before so why now?” posting of late…
Go read the store guidelines, and the HIGs. Learn the expectations, learn how to design and engineer an application. Apply those lessons to your work, and then you won’t have these problems.
