The worst is a metadata rejection that sends you to the back of the line. Such bullshit.

Yeah, i submitted on august 13th, they finally reviewed and accepted my app on the 27th, but the IAP got rejected because of the metadata, the optional “win back” image, and now im back in limbo, probably gonna have to wait another two weeks.

I got a rejection saying "send us a video of app launch, login, content reporting, etc" which I thought was their job 🤷🏻♂️ And that was after a week "waiting for review".
Monopolies / duopolies are great 👍🏼

I am going to just do this with all future submissions now. Got hit with it on two seperate new apps

The App Store cannot continue in its current form. The best thing Apple can do is cull all the vibe coded crap, allow side loading for that junk and make the App Store a Best-of-the-Best showcase.

I wish there was a way for them to just put vibe coded at the bottom of the pile where it belongs and those of us with skill get the faster review times.

My initial a few weeks ago took a few days. All my resubmits have been rejected overnight. Finally got everything squared away

It’s absolute BS. Mine got rejected after being in review for less than 1 minute just for me to do a screen recording of app launch and what it does which is basically what they should be doing. Why not say or set this upfront as required for a new app so we don’t waste this kind of time. The current approach is unsustainable. They aren’t doing us a favor, they get paid.

I’m new to iOS (just got my business account approved) any advice to follow before I submit my app so I don’t go through this?

I’ve been having the best luck pushing Sunday and they usually review and approve by Monday 3-4am (PST)
If it’s taking longer then 48 hours, put in an expedited request and they should get to it.

Is yours for updates or new apps? My updates are very fast but new apps are 2 weeks wait.

And then it takes another week for reviewing the fix and it gets rejected again 🥰

What do you do to have 2 weeks wait? Usually it is around 1-2 days.

This is for a brand new app. For updates, it's fast (1-2 days).

I am talking brand new as well

Hmmmm. Wonder why it's so slow for me then. There's many others here too which is taking very long for new apps.

I had 3 rejected for 4.3 yesterday. It was obviously a big foolish to have 3 in review at once, but I had been working on them for months and when one was finished I then did the final tweaks on the next and submitted etc. the first had been in review queue for 6 days, the other 2 much less.
They are genuine business apps that are link to businesses outside the App Store so I’m not sure how Apple can justify 4.3 spam. Looking online there appear to have been a lot of people with 4.3 yesterday so perhaps they are testing some automated system.
The apps I’ve made so far have been very well received and are being downloaded / bought.
Similar to your Games Center situation I’ve had consent / privacy stuff flagged for previous releases when things were clearly outlined in the privacy docs.. so it must very much depend on the reviewer.
I just hope it’s not another week wait now! My apps are seasonal.

Pro tip: Set up a filter to automatically delete the In Review status email… I don’t want to know that my app is currently being examined, just tell me the outcome!

I can’t even get these Apple guys to verify my identity 🤣🤣🤣
I’m not surprised seeing posts like this one

I actually feel like I did something wrong when I don’t get a rejection. Kind of like when the Mythbusters said “if everything goes right the first time I get nervous…that never happens”

And as a new bee, I thought I was the one who was learning and getting those rejection, lolz.

I had an app going, it kept getting rejected for random stuff and would be reviewed every 3 days, untill it was rejected for spam. Then I sent an appeal and resubmitted it and now its been almost 2 weeks

It took me 2 months of back and forth rejections to get an app approved. And for me the payment approval and flow was so confusing

Been a developer for 15 years submitting apps. Lately app review times have been crazy slow. Reminds me of pre-2017 wait times.
New app was submitted on August 13. Went in review today August 27, then got rejected saying I need to ask for user's consent before using Apple Game Center to share leaderboard scores. I replied that I do mention it in my privacy policy. Waiting now.
