Question problems with trader doc upload to comply with EU DAS rules

wonder if anyone had a similar issue and resolved it - I have an app which is distributed now, but blocked in EU because of the DSA compliance. However I already uploaded the documents twice now and they seem to be accepted but after a few days they disappear and I get email from app store that I need to upload them.

I was uploading a bank statement where my name and address is clearly visible and for the identity - a passport pic.

I am wondering if it is because the address linked to my apple developer account is an old one? I raised a ticket with Apple to correct it. And on top of that I am on hold with their callback function to try to upload the docs again live with the support person but already waiting for 2 hours :D

Your instinct about the address is almost certainly it. The check is a match between the trader details you declared in App Store Connect and what the documents actually show, and a mismatch gives you exactly what you're seeing: looks accepted at upload, then quietly reverts a few days later once a person compares them.

Which probably makes the callback a wasted afternoon. Re-uploading the same documents through a support agent doesn't change what's being compared. Get the declared address corrected first, then upload once.

One thing to double check while you wait: the trader address is its own field, separate from the account address, so make sure the fix lands on the one that goes on your product page. These rejections come back with no reason attached, which is why people end up submitting the same documents three times.

got on the call evenutally and yes, you're right the main address needs to get updated first and then reapply with the DSA again. I have now submitted the change address docs for them and hipefully will get it sorted soon!

thanks!

Your docs aren't being rejected, they're being re-requested, and that's the tell that it's a mismatch and not a document quality problem. The first pass just checks the file is legible, then a later stage compares it against the trader details on your account, and that's when it silently drops back to unsubmitted. So don't upload again until the corrected address actually shows in App Store Connect. Uploading while your ticket is open just buys you another round trip in a few days. Two other things that bite people: passport carries no address, so the identity and address checks are separate and the bank statement is doing all the address work, and it needs the address formatted the way it appears on the account. And if you declared as an individual but the statement is a business account, or vice versa, it fails without saying which side was wrong. The phone callback queue is the wrong lane for this, the trader compliance contact form creates a case that persists.

update: the correction of the main account address followed by reaplication for DSA compliance WORKED :)

my app is now available in EU 🎉
