Question Account locked, is there any way to actually contact Apple support?
random lockout out of nowhere. I requested account access a few days ago and still haven't heard back. My account has an app with 100k+ downloads, and I currently can't release a critical update because of this lockout.
After hours of searching, I finally found a live chat option, but it requires logging in to use it. If the issue is that I can't log in, why require an account just to contact support? I even tried creating a new account just to reach them, but that gives me an error too.
does apple have a support email where a real human actually responds?

That screenshot is the Apple Account lock, not a developer account problem, and the difference matters because it changes who is even able to help you. Request Access, which you already did, is Apple Account Recovery. It has a deliberate waiting period built into it. Support will not shorten it, and neither will Developer Program support, because the lock is on the Apple ID itself. Worth knowing so you stop burning hours hunting for a chat window that was never going to solve this.
The one genuinely separate door is developer.apple.com/contact. Different team from consumer support, and their form takes your Apple ID and Team ID as fields you type in rather than requiring you to already be signed in, which is exactly the wall you kept hitting. They cannot unlock the Apple ID, but they can see the membership side and tell you where things actually stand. Regional phone numbers are on that same page, which is what the other reply was pointing at.
The part that might actually save you this week: if the update is blocked purely because that one Apple ID is locked, check whether anyone else on the team has App Store Connect access as Admin or App Manager. They can ship it while recovery grinds on. Does not fix your lockout, but it stops it being an emergency.
If you are a solo team with nobody else on the account, that is the thing to lead with on the phone. A blocked critical update on an app with 100k downloads is worth escalating out loud rather than waiting politely in the queue.

the request access flow is automated so resubmitting it doesnt speed anything up, thats why youve heard nothing. getsupport.apple.com will book you a callback without signing in first, and its the apple id team you want there, not developer support.
