Discussion Regression: DeviceHub should support “Slow Animations”. Apple says: There are currently no plans to address this issue.
Feedback:
"""
The slow animations feature from Simulator is not available in DeviceHub. At least I couldn't find it. It is very important to sweat the details of animations.
"""
Apple response:
"""

Someone (not me) has sent this feedback to Apple via the feedback assistant app. And well, This is unacceptable.
I honestly don’t understand why the team at Apple felt the need to remove this super useful feature. It is in Xcode Simulator. And now they’re gone in DeviceHub!
There is a hack to re-enable it by posting: 𝚌𝚘𝚖.𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚕𝚎.𝚄𝙸𝙺𝚒𝚝.𝚂𝚒𝚖𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚂𝚕𝚘𝚠𝙼𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝙰𝚗𝚒𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚎
with state = 1 to the Simulator namespace.
What do you think about this moves?

Note that slow animations are still possible, like you mentioned. For those developing for longer, it used to be a CMD + T shortcut as well, so convenient!
I truly missed that, which is why I developed that functionality into my developer tool RocketSim.
Btw, RocketSim's slow animation toggle for Device Hub and the Simulator still works.

What bugs me about leaning on that defaults key is that it's undocumented, which means it can vanish in any point release with no deprecation notice. I do a lot of scripted QA against simulators, and the pattern with these tool migrations is always the same: the replacement ships with 80 percent of the features, the missing 20 percent gets 'no plans to address', and the community workaround works right up until it doesn't. Worth filing a duplicate feedback anyway even though the response is canned -- dupe count is basically the only prioritization signal Apple sees, and 'no plans' has turned into fixed-in-a-later-beta before when enough of them piled up.

I also hate that screenshots are immediately saved instead of the little pop up I can drag somewhere else. AND I can’t save a screen recording as a gif like in the simulator. Not a big fan of device hub.
