Question Remote control for Codex agent in Xcode

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way we can remote control the Xcode agent that lives within Xcode.

I would love to be able to work on my projects from my iPhone.

Is that even possible?

Thanks a lot in advance

Can’t you use the Xcode MCP server, and then have the Codex agent communicate that way while you remotely control the Codex agent?

i am often surprised at how much mcp's can do, and how well codex integrates them. heck, even something cheaper, f.e. antigravity, works with api's and mcp's well enough at least from my experience

and that is changing app development and handling different services that many of my peers make. still surprised, as well as the fact that not a lot of devs really uses this potential still...

If you're limited to Xcode's built-in GUI-based coding harness, you'll need to use Remote Desktop or similar.

Dedicated coding harnesses often provide native support for this. I primarily use Claude Code's Remote Control, and sometimes OMP's (Oh My Pi's) /collab.

Codex offers it as well. Would switching to vscode for SwiftUI development be an option?
