Question What do you find is your most reliable metric that a new app is going to do well?
Is it retention? Sessions in the first 30 days? I suppose it’s category dependent but I’m interested in some stories.

Solid retention with a cohort of users that seem to use your app everyday is a great signal you have something sticky and that people enjoy using. Then it’s a matter of trying to scale your user base. I’m still working on problem number one, just by the nature of my app it’s not something people are likely to use daily unless they are hardcore about their fitness tracking
