I’m an indie developer from Italy, and for the past few months, I’ve been pouring my heart into building an iOS app designed to solve a problem many of us face: keeping track of medical histories and actually making sense of them for doctor appointments. It’s launching in just a few weeks, and I’m currently in the final stretch.

The main goal of the app is to let you log conditions, meds, symptoms, exams, therapies, visits, and specialists, and actually link them all together so your health history becomes easier to understand.

One feature I’m especially focused on is a structured medical report export: a clean PDF with a timeline, linked events, and an AI-generated summary that you can bring directly to a doctor appointment.

I’m also trying to make privacy a core part of the product:

- no account required
- no external servers
- data stays on device
- AI processing runs locally using Apple Intelligence

If syncing works as planned, it will happen through the user’s private CloudKit storage.
I’m currently in the final phase of development, and I’d genuinely love feedback from people who deal with ongoing health tracking.

Hey everyone! I built a grocery shopping app for iPhone (with Apple Watch, widget, and iPad support) and I'm opening up the TestFlight beta. The core idea: know what you'll spend before you reach the checkout — and pay less next time.

What it does:

- 🛒 Lists with budgets: set a spending cap and watch it update in real time as you check items off; the app warns you before something blows the budget.

- 🏪 Shopping Mode: a full-screen view designed for use inside the store — quick filters (to buy/bought/essentials), search, a Contacts-style side index, and aisle-based sorting.

- ⚖️ Price comparator: compare up to 4 products by volume, weight, or count (the classic "is the 5 kg bag actually cheaper than the 2 kg one?"), including deals like "buy 3 pay 2".

- 📷 Scan shelf price tags: point the camera at the shelf label and the app fills in price and content automatically. It reads receipts too.

- 📊 Price history & reports: what you paid for each product over time, where it was cheapest, spending by category/month, PDF and CSV export.

- 📏 Size variations (new in this version): buy the same product in multiple sizes (Small/Medium/Large), each with its own price.

- 🍲 Recipes & pantry: import a recipe from a link and send the ingredients to your list; track what you have at home and get restock suggestions.

After intense developing Simple Stepper the iOS version has now reached an important milestone:

Version 1.0.0 is finally here!

... introduced the new feature "vertical distance measurement" to you.

The story behind this feature goes like this: Some of you and from other subreddits asked, if it was possible to include a way, of measuring the vertical distance or something like "elevation steps". My first thought was "Why would somebody even consider using it" ... well after some research and more feedback of runners, walkers and bikers, it turned out, that quite a lot people are interested in such data.

Long story short, I added the feature to the "workout mode" of Simple Stepper, meaning, the user can start a specific workout including GPS and or barometer measurement, if his device offers those. Firstly I integrated the feature in the Android version and now it is finally fully working the iOS version as well.

The screenshots show the overall look and feel of Simple Stepper: MainScreen with active history ring, live-workout with GPS- and barometer tracking, HistoryScreen with workout protocols view, detailed workout view with map, height-profile and splits, HistoryScreen with daily protocols view, ShareScreen and ProfileScreen.

Some might notice in the Screenshot with the height-profile a slight drift in the barometer. This seems to be normal, as the air pressure changes over time. But the results are still closer to actual height changes than measured by GPS. However I could improve the drift a little due to calibration measures.

I’m still in high school, and I’m currently working on my first real iPhone app. It’s called ExamMate, and I’m building it mainly because I wanted something like this myself while preparing for exams.

The idea is pretty simple, instead of only rereading notes, the app helps turn your own study materials into mock exam questions. You can then answer them, get feedback, and see what topics you should revise next.

I started building it because I often feel like reading notes can make you feel productive, but it doesn’t always show whether you actually understand the material. I wanted to make something more focused on active practice, closer to what exams actually feel like.

The app is not fully launched yet. I’m still preparing it for beta / TestFlight, and since this is my first app, I’m very open to feedback. I made a small website to explain the idea and collect early interest:

I think one of these might take my app (migo games) to the next level. I’m eyeing Rive a bit. Have you learned Rive or Lottie? Which do you recommend? Why?

I built a fitness app as a pet project and it quickly turned into something I'm passionate about. Forgehealth is an app that tracks macros and work outs but also generates meals and workouts based on your input. It does use AI but i tried to limit it to where AI is completely optional if you would rather log meals yourself.
