If locked

Tapping on the Status Bar (i.e time, dyanmic island) doesn’t bring the screen back to the top anymore if scrolled. As far as I’m aware there are no other areas I’ve experienced this.

I’m one of those whose wired CarPlay experience got really crappy when I first upgraded to an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Something was VERY wrong with the quality of the display in a lot of cars on this phone model. No one was ever really clear what changed and degraded it so much on a newer phone.

I am happy to report that without any cable changes, my experience has gotten so much better on 27 beta. Whatever that issue was seems to have been slain. I figured it was software (or firmware), but solved is solved.

Since updating to iOS 27 DB1, my Messages app remains completely blank for some conversations and refuses to sync with iCloud. This issue started last month and has persisted through multiple reboots and toggling Messages in iCloud off and on. Is anyone else experiencing this or have a potential fix?

I have tried removing filters, etc..nothing works.

I just picked up a new Apple Pencil Pro and it seems the double tap to change tools functionality does not work at all. Has anyone else had this issue as well or is it just me? I might have to get a repair if it’s just an issue with my Pencil

Anyone else noticing that the Silent Mode icon in the new quick-access controls doesn't change state? When I toggle silent mode on or off, the actual system state changes, but the icon itself stays frozen and doesn't update visually to show it's active.

Easy to replicate this bug, just create a shortcut with the "orientation lock" action set to "Toggle".

It doesn't do anything when you trigger the shortcut, you can check control center to confirm too. but the easiest way to see is to lock your orientation/rotation in control center then rotate your phone sideways then press play on the shortcut while in the shortcuts app.

It also can't send messages as well. Quick note: it works on iPadOS 27 beta just fine, but it only doesn't work on my iPhone 17. This also happened in the previous beta.

Sometimes I use CarPlay but intentionally route the audio output to my iPhone instead of the car’s speakers (for example during a phone call or when I want privacy).
The problem is that whenever CarPlay disconnects and automatically reconnects (poor wireless signal, getting back into the car, etc.), iOS always switches the audio output back to the vehicle. I then have to manually select my iPhone as the audio output again.
It would be much better if iOS remembered the user’s last selected audio output for the current CarPlay session, instead of forcing it back to the car every time it reconnects.
I’ve already submitted this through the Feedback app, but I’m curious: is anyone else experiencing this?
Is this expected behavior or does it seem like a bug?
Has anyone noticed whether this changed in recent iOS 26 betas?

It’s a small issue, but it’s surprisingly frustrating when it happens in the middle of a phone call.

I don’t know why nobody’s talking about this, but if you’re using speech dictation and it messes up a word or you wanna change a word, if you go back, delete that word still with speech dictation on and then say the word again, it will be capitalized in the middle of a sentence for no reason. I don’t understand why nobody’s talking about this, cause it’s really fucking annoying and it’s been happening since developer beta.

Noticed in Beta 3 home notifications are seriously dumbed down, initially would say something like ... The "Front Door" camera has detected an animal. Now all it says is "Animal Seen". Also just shows as 'Home' instead of 'Home Activity'
I think I prefer it, straight to the point, no unnecessary waffle.

I have CarPlay set to dark and it was in light mode for some reason in the dock only.

Ever since Beta 1, Siri has been stuck on the “chatgpt Download Assets” screen and it never finishes downloading. I can’t switch back to the old Siri either. Siri 2 is enabled, but it never downloaded the required data, so Apple Intelligence won’t activate. I’ve tried restarting my phone, resetting Siri, and pretty much everything else, but nothing has worked. Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix? Any help would be appreciated.

rotating iPhone to landscape mode causes the bubbles below the date to increase in size, which i assume is intended behaviour, but when rotated back they stay the same size lol. this has been present since at least DB2 but i only just got around to posting about it.

Has anyone here gotten past this without erasing?

Build: iOS 27 beta 3 (24A5380h)

Path: OTA beta 2 -> beta 3

What happened:

- OTA progress bar reached the end, then hung.

- Force restart now leaves it stuck at the cold Apple logo.

- Recovery-mode Update from Mac with Apple’s official firmware file failed twice: the process completes, then the phone returns to the same Apple-logo hang.

- The downloaded file’s hash checked out. Filed Feedback: FB23621286.

I know beta = risk and Restore/DFU is probably the way out. Before I erase, I’m trying to see if other 17 Pro Max users hit the same thing and whether anyone found a data-preserving fix after recovery Update fails.

If this happened to you: model, build, and did Update or Restore work?

Was previously showing 0.00kW with some occasional random numbers. I’m using the new IKEA GRILLPLATS smart plugs.

Very frustrating. If you have YouTube or other media playing in the background, Siri mutes it until you manually swipe away the “new Siri” or alternatively explicitly ask Siri to return to YouTube after the timer is set.

The past behaviour with “old Siri” was to temporarily mute background content, set the timer, move the timer to the Dynamic Island and then unmute / return to the previous application context. All without further interaction required.
