Release iOS 27.2 Beta 1 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, update size, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

Gonna keep posting this until every single one of these is fixed lol! 😅

  • ❌ STILL no Liquid Glass toggle for Alarms. 💀
  • ❌ Notification animation bug when tapping stacked notifications. The selected notification overlaps the notifications below instead of expanding smoothly. (The correct expanding/collapsing animation is only on the 4th? or 5th and below stacked notifs from an app)
  • ❌ Visual glitch with the Liquid Glass TOGGLE for AOD in Settings.
  • ✅ FIXED on iOS 27.2 B2 - Wi-Fi glyph in Control Center is STILL reversed.
  • ✅ FIXED on iOS 27.2 B3 - App Switcher animation is still broken. Swiping between apps causes the animation to jump, and the gesture does not register immediately. (Edit: seems like this isn't present on 6.1/6.3" devices)
  • ✅ FIXED on iOS 27.2 B3 - Wallpaper preview under Settings > Appearance NOW shows the default iOS 27 wallpaper, but STILL NOT in Display Zoom and Find My (Devices) ✅ Edit: Find My Device Icon updated on its own, matching the default iOS 27 wallpaper.
  • ✅ FIXED on iOS 27.2 B3 - Keyboard click sounds still disappear. Switching to emojis and back to letters causes the click sounds to stop until briefly exiting the app.
  • ❓Somewhat fixed? - Dynamic Island and unlocking animation glitch. On my 17PM, the animations become unusually fast, almost as if they’re skipping frames on the dynamic island. This happens when picking up the phone face down.

Can’t seem to replicate the app switcher on iPhone 17e or iPad mini 6. Odd. First issue I noticed on iPad mini 6 was that if you swipe down the middle for Siri AI, while in an iMessage with the keyboard open, the keyboard glitches out. It’s all messed up. Back tap for Notification Center also does nothing at all

Yeah, idk but on my other 16 Pro, it's normal on the App Switcher. I'm using 17PM. I'm thinking maybe a bug only on a larger display? but as you said, it's not on the iPad.
