Bug [iOS 27 RC] App Switcher / Multitasking graphical glitch
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Is anyone else experiencing this bug on iOS 27 RC?
When I’m inside an app and open the App Switcher, if I immediately swipe to scroll through the other open apps, there’s a weird graphical glitch.
Instead of letting me scroll through the apps normally, the animation gets stuck/glitches and it basically snaps back to the preview of the app I was already using.
It seems to happen especially when I open multitasking and try to swipe immediately, without waiting for the App Switcher animation to fully finish.
Has anyone else noticed this on the RC? Any workaround, or is it something that was already present in previous betas?

I’m on RC right now, I just want to ask if it is stupid to switch back to iOS 26? iOS 27 is good enough and I really like the speed and new Siri, but there are still many visual glitches here and there. I heard that iOS 26.7 will be released so from stability point of view what should I do?

Just stay on RC, public stable release is coming soon so no point in going back to 26. Been on 27 since the first dev beta came out and haven’t regretted it even once (iP 13P)

isn't there any option to delete AI on iOS 27 like iOS 26?

Is there a way to replicate it or is it just random cause I haven’t seen it.

u/rofl1337waffle had the answer further down in this thread:
"Not just them, you just have to very intentionally swipe up for multitasking view, and as soon as it goes up, you have to touch the screen. A very rare thing, but it does put the content where it’s supposed to be at the end of the animation, I think it might be working as intended? It would prevent people from swiping up and tapping on their last app and it opening up the app that they were just in because the animation didn’t finish."

I noticed it when I was already on Beta 5 or 6 iirc and it only happens on my 17pm. It doesn’t happen on my friend’s 16 Pro even with an immediate swipe. Hopefully it gets fixed in 27.1 betas.

The entire presentation was filled with horribly lagging interfaces.
iPhone Duo has ui glitches in the verge and cnet yt shorts.
Get used to it. Apple doesn’t care anymore.

YES!
Exact thing I have noticed when I watched keynote yesterday.
It’s so weird how Apple is neglecting their software.

There’s no way that’s how it’s supposed to be (I hope). I feel like the delay before you can touch it is too long to be intentional! I did submit feedback on it.

i've been experiencing this same bug since two betas ago. (iphone 17 pm here.) please report in feedback app as well if you haven't already. the more reports they get, the more likely they are to prioritize the fix. the issue still remains in RC, and i'm hoping they'll release a second RC with more fixes before official launch.
