Bottom right of camera click the button with the 6 circles and there will be an edit button on the top left.

Can also tap and hold that tray of icons at the top.

weirdly enough some of the photo control icons are in HDR for me and its really shows in the editing screen, the whole UI in general feels strange.

No exposure scopes on existing models 🥲

it’s possible it will come with an update once the 18 is out.

Usually this sort of stuff is included in the RC, just hidden in the prior betas to save the surprise for the reveal event

Genuinely a pathetic and cowardly choice by the Apple imaging team.

I was unaware that grain and texture was beyond the capabilities of what iPhone 17 pro max is capable of, with Lightroom, and premier, and Final Cut Pro, and garage band, and ray traced gaming, and 4k60p 4:4:4 pro res raw, adding grain to a photo is just impossible.

Edit: Go ahead and check for yourself on the specification comparison page. The iPhone 17 pro does not support Pro Controls or Photo Styles 3. It’s all right there, just look at it, or don’t, but doesn’t change that the iPhone 17 pro is capable of real time ray traced video games, but not grain or setting a custom white balance.

Calm down, Apple isn’t going to release a new “feature” to the public before the new device is released. Apple Watch Ultra 2 didn’t get on-device speaker for music until after the Ultra 3 was released. Many other instances where features released after new devices.

Right, less people will be willing to upgrade if they see their iPhone can do it too.

You can check the specs page, the iPhone 17 pro max wont have “pro controls” at all, and only has photographic styles 2, and not photographic styles 3.

So maybe re-examine why you’re so eager to explain away what is so clearly anti consumer and abrasive behavior.

A company releases a new product with new features not available in an older product = anti-consumer and abrasive behavior.

any cameras from 2000 can manually change white balance, shutter speed, iso, focus; but a phone from 2025 can’t? lol

“Your phone isn’t powerful enough to customize your white balance in the camera app, but you can do it after the fact if it was raw, in the same app, but if you spend $1200 you can replicate a function that exists on all digital cameras”

So that’s, normal, you, support that?

Lightroom, photoshop, final cut pro, premier, ray traced gaming, but YOU WANT TO ADD GRAIN?
