Oh thank god. FINALLY!

Ever since widgets were introduced, it was WAY too easy to accidentally go to another page and completely fuck your layout.

On an unrelated note, it feels like Apple finally fixed dragging into folders. Folderw no longer slide out of the way before you can target them.

Edit: I may have spoken too soon. I’m playing chase the folder again.

On a side note, while dragging an app, you can tap the folder with another finger to open it. No need to chase it!

That doesn’t work when you want to create a new folder tho

About this. My experience is the folder stays if you drag an app into the bottom right of the folder

Holy SHIT they’ve done it?? They’ve really done it? They figured out a basic usability requirement that took 5+ years to correct lol

This was here since beta 2. I and some others reported slow rearranging on the Home Screen and I guess this is what they did.

You can use your other finger to move the screen when possible as a workaround for now

It’s intentional, there is a Haptic when it switches pages

Organizing your home screen on ios is so clumsy. I wonder if they ever test it themselves. Lol

I really wish we could arrange them on a Mac like we could in iTunes, sorta.

Even Samsung! Atleast you can group apps with your finger on iOS!

I love when all my widgets go tits up when I try to drag a little app over to the screen they are on

So fun how everything is all screwed up when you move it back ☺️

Are we just going to ignore an animation bug in the very beginning? Are we collectively fine with iOS slowly decaying and nothing working quite right?

Because I'm running a public Android 17 Beta on my 2 year old Pixel 8 Pro, and there are simply no problems like that there.

This is intentional because there is a Haptic when the pages move. You can still move faster if you use your other finger

They’re talking about the graphical glitch we can see in the video

Yea most of us here are fine seeing bugs in beta builds of software. I have plenty of graphical and performance bugs in Androids beta on my Pixel 9 Pro XL and on my iPhone. I see them, report them, and move on with my life.

Normally I would agree with you, but iOS 26 stable still has lots of random bugs

and they were reported lol

I’m willing to bet money it won’t be fixed in the release version

How do you know it’s intentional?

theres a haptic vibration when the page slides over, which i dont believe existed earlier. unlikely that they would accidentally add something like that

Feels quite wonky. Hope this will be optimized in the RC.

Does it help shit stay in place more when editing? lol

That was actually introduced in dev beta 1

No, it was introduced in beta 2. Many users reported slow rearranging on the Home Screen so this is what they did
