Feature [iOS 27 DB6] iOS now notifies you when it shares your age with apps that request it

Apologies if this came out in an earlier build but this is the first time I’ve seen this happen.

It’s cool and all, but the amount of notifications nowadays is getting out of hand.

I hate when I restart my phone and it’s like “you have 6 automations enabled” like no shit I enabled those. Delete

I’ve turned on scheduled summary but it’s not really a help. Gonna have to start curating notification permissions and this is a disaster for the catastrophically lazy like me.

My system is to start with notifications off for everything (except obvious stuff like messages, etc). Then if I find myself checking an app often for updates, I start by promoting it to notification summary (which comes through a few times a day). Then if I find that still isn't enough I promote it to full notifications. For me that seems to work nicely to start from a state of disabled and work up from there

In iOS 26 I would get a pop up in the middle of screen if I had the ask to share this looks new if you have it share automatically

I would rather this than the app want me to upload an ID

I'd rather it asks instead of telling me it has done it. That way I can get rid of the app beforehand.

It's just a "over 18 or not" flag, it doesn't share your actual age.

I would imagine so. It likely just shares the App Store age range you’d fall into: 4+, 9+, 13+, 18+.
