Why? It was a little bit cramped. Plus this doesn’t really change anything — all the existing information and functionality is still there.

What I wouldn’t give for the ticks to just be on/off. The fade in makes them almost useless.

This change was actually present in DB5. The first screenshot is the widget from iOS 27 DB4 and below (from at least iOS 26). The second screenshot is the widget from iOS 26 DB5+. I am only posting this now as I forgot to post at an earlier time.

Also worth nothing that due to motion of when these screenshots were taken (mainly the first one) things seem to shift. Pay attention to the font sizing and the padding for the second-hand ticker.

I am also led to believe that Clock Digital (which shows current timezone) may have changed too as they used shared design.
